Im rich, and there jelous, help!?

by Staff · 6 comments

I live in the uk, and both of my parents are very good doctors. So i guess they are rich, which kinda makes me rich i think.
I went to a private school for 5 years, then i left and went to a local college.
My accent it quite posh, which annoys people in my college. They are always calling me stuck up and names like that. I made a friend, who i invited back to my house. She couldnt beleive how big my house was, and that i had a swimming pool in my back garden. She told everyone in college the next now, now im getting evil looks.. Im fairly clever too, so i guess they dont like that.

However im hurt, everyone hates me :(

I feel sure that not everyone hates you. I sense that you need to smile more. Be on the lookout for mirrors during the day and think about what you see. Everyone likes people that smile a lot. Also if you can look for others that need help such as volunteering in a hospital it will bring you much joy.
Volunteer work is great because you can set your own hours. That way you won’t bet burned out on it.

i’m sorry to say this but i don’t think you being rich is the sole root of your social problems. i have met quite a few wealthy people at uni and none are treated the way you say you are. is it possible you really are a tad stuck up? and no one is disliked for being clever. if i were you i would stop feeling sorry for myself for being fortunate and try to figure out the real reason people don’t like me.

Yeek. I’d hate to be in your spot dude. Well here’s some sage advice. Spend some coin so you look like you don’t have coin. Get a job. A decent, honest, come home sweaty kind of job. Then move into either an apartment or a dorm room. Work on getting the posh-ness out of your accent and try to conform to the clothing fashions. When people see that, loaded as you are, you don’t mind living with what everyone else is limited too, they’ll probably lighten up. That or everyone will begin to think that your richness is just a false rumor. Hope things work out for you.

just maintain low profile.
as long as you don’t harm them.
live the simple way.
so they won’t feel different
