I am getting married June 7th of Next Year in an outdoor ceremony in a garden. I have been torn all sorts of ways between 2 colors. Coral or Pink (as the primary colors) and Yellow as the secondary color. I initially had chose coral however it was hard finding products (linen, napkins, invitations, dresses) in the particular coral I wanted. So I decided to switch over to Pink (like a Baby or Petal Pink) Accented with Yellow and Maybe a Hot Pink color. Pink is easy to find, and also ties in to the favor my Fiance and I have decided to give which is a charitable donation to the Breast Cancer Society because my mom passed of breast cancer several years ago. Which color is better. Not sure if it matters but most of my bridesmaids are African American and I have one that is Hispanic/Cuban. Please Please Please help me chose a color and if you have ideas for better accent colors please advise. I am trying to stay away from Pastels but to have a vibrant primary color. Help.

I think that you should do your invitations and things in light pink. that way, you could accent with a darker pink and definitely a pale yellow. If you chose the coral, I think that peach is a color that is close to it, and would look really pretty with any green color ( which is also a very pretty springy color in my opinion )
Good luck with your wedding and I’m sure that whatever you decide with be absolutely gorgeous!
baby pink as the main color, with vibrant yellow and hot pink as accents!! beautiful, expecially for a summer wedding
Pink sounds like the way to go, espically since it’ll have a background meaning and all. Good luck with your wedding! I’m getting married July 12, 2008!
Definately the pink, beautiful colors that go very well together and will really set the event. Good luck and have fun for marriage is a wonderful thing!!! Petal pink and yellow has my vote.
I think the pink is cool……maybe you should use almost a soft orange for a accent color…..the pink would probably look better on the Bridesmaids b/c of their skin color……the coral would probably wash them out too much. I love the idea of the soft pink b/c of your mom….what a great way to honor her with you special day!!!!!!!! but yes…..most def the soft pink!!!!!
baby pink
Funny, those are my colors too! Definatly a petal pink with a very bright yellow and hot pink (magenta) as secondary colors. Its going to look great on everyones skin from light skinned to dark skinned. Congrats and you’ll be very happy with the colors!
Coral is dreadful and it doesn’t go at all with yellow. Pink and yellow are beautiful together but it’d stay away from the hot pink. It’s just so cheap looking.
Whatever you decide, I hope that the wedding is beautiful and an even more beautiful marriage follows it.
Best of luck.
If you look at a spring bouquet,it usually contains all the colors you mention, corals, pinks ,yellows and shades of purple. You could definitely have the bridesmaids in coral,it would look beautiful on the darker skin and still have the lighter pink cancer ribbons and yellow accents.I have been decorating wedding cakes for many years, and this combination of colors looks beautiful.Good luck!
I’d go with the pink and keep that bright/bold pink you were talking about as an accent. You said you didn’t like the pastels, so maybe use the brighter pink more?
Pink and yellow sounds good to me, with soft orange accents. Not sure about the hot pink though, could look kinda cheesy.
I would do a bubblegum pink as the primary color. Hot pink as the accent and light yellow as another accent color. that would look so good in spring or summer! Bright greenery would look good with this too.
What about a bubble gum pink? It’s dark, pretty, and looks good on darker skin tones.
Hope this helps.
Very beautiful chose of colors:) i’m feelin the pink and yellow colors which would be vibrant and would have a very special meaning to you!!! hope ur wedding plans go smoothly!!!!
I think the baby pink is the best one it will coordinate beautifully.
I like the wedding date 06/07/08.
Congratulations
I think I would take a slightly different tactic here. Rather than having pink as your primary color, use it as a secondary color – as in ribbons! Pick a yellow dress that you can have a pink ribbon/sash with it. This way you really have a tribute to your Mother with the pink ribbons. You could have pink ribbon pins made up and passed out to all the women present to wear on their outfits (very inexpensive – ribbon and safety pins). A bright yellow will look nice on the skin tones you mentioned, and you can have yellow and pink flowers with – again – pink ribbons.
I think this is a wonderful way to pay tribute to your Mom and others who have suffered with this dreadful disease as well as having a vibrant and fun color scheme! Good Luck!
